Liberal Churches

There is no really clear definition of what Liberal Christianity, or Liberal Religion in general, is. On the negative side members tend to define themselves as more open to new ideas than fundamentalists and conservatives, and less literal in their interpretation of religious truths. Inclusive Church UK
Born August 2003 at a Eucharist in Putney following deep unease within the Church of England regarding the resignation of Jeffrey John as Bishop of Reading, the initial Eucharist was held at Rev Giles Fraser's church, St Mary's Putney and attended by over 400 people.
ACT – Ashram Community Trust
ACT is a UK based Radical Christian organisation with branches and projects in various areas of the UK and friends and members here and abroad.
Soulspace
Formed in July 2005 Soulspace aims to be a place of thoughtful engagement around the edges of Christianity encouraging anyone of any faith to join. Enjoying animated discussion, Soulspace is also intended to provide a community which values and seeks to include people, building relationships and attempting to be creative together.
Progressive Christain Network, Britain
PCN works to promote and support open and contemporary Christian understanding, providing a network of local groups across the country, publishing a radical quarterly newsletter and organising regular conferences and events. Members come from all denominations and they enjoy links with other progressive Christian movements around the world.

The Unitarians
Dating from the 17th century, 'Unitarianism'[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unitarians] is probably one the most liberal churches you will find. There are currently just under 200 congregations throughout the UK.

The Quakers
Like the Unitarians, the Quakers have a long dissenting tradition going back to 17th century. Also known as the Religious Society of Friends, they span a large range of beliefs including non-theism and Universalism.
